It's been a long, hot, dry summer in the Midwest. The grass is brown. Farmers are loosing their crops. My friends who have backyard chickens are loosing their hens. Peter the Pumpkin is suffering. I hate to say it, but our zucchini crop isn't what it should be.
Yet Adam woke me up this morning that something weird was happening outside. Something odd. Wet stuff was falling from the sky!
RAIN!
It's still early in the morning but it is finally raining! I hope and pray that it is falling on the farms. I hope my friends chickens do well.
May this rain be the end of the endless heat and drought!
