We were at the drive through Krispy Kreme last night, picking up holiday donuts before going out to watch a light display. Joseph spied a sign announcing their new "winter coffee."
"Mom," he said, "why don't they have Jesus coffee?"
I turned to look at the poor kid like he had 12 heads. "What the heck do you mean?"
"Well, they have coffee called winter coffee. Why not call it Jesus coffee since December is the month of His birthday?"
Okay, well, yeah, that makes sense! I explained that not everyone celebrates Christmas so a store like Krispie Kreme is going to just sell generic winter/holiday items, not something specific to a religion because they want to respect everyone.
Jesus coffee... that just makes me laugh!
I love how kids think! Very wise.
